Glenville Center is a 65 bed facility. Staffing at Glenville Center merited only one star (much below average) on the Nursing Home Compare website. In fact, staffing ratios were lower than both the National and the West Virginia averages for registered nurse hours per patient per day, LPN hours per patient per day, and for certified nurses’ aide hours per patient per day. Quality measures indicate that more short stay residents at Glenville Center develop new or worsened pressure ulcers (also called bed sores, pressure sores, or decubitus ulcers) than residents of average facilities in West Virginia and around the United States. Likewise, more long term residents at Glenville Center are in moderate to severe pain and have depressive symptoms than residents of average facilities in West Virginia and around the United States. The most recent annual inspection conducted by the WV Office of Facility Licensure and Certification (OHFLAC) found various significant problems, such as failing to have a program that investigates, controls and keeps infections from spreading.
